Online Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training

Online Prenatal YTT – 25 hrs

Mamata Yoga's Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training is widely recognized as one of Canada's specialized teacher training programs.  With over 10 years of experience instructing prenatal yoga classes, prenatal education courses and anatomical alignment principles for mother's during pregnancy, Mamata Yoga has a reputation of leading mothers into a safe and mindful prenatal practice, both on and off the mat.  We are elated to be expanding our knowledge with a online prenatal yoga teacher training program to spread the love worldwide!

Mamata Yoga ensures qualitiy and integrity throughout all of our teacher training options and our online program is no exception.  With 15 hours of LIVE and current webinar feeds connecting with Clare Newman (E-RYT 500) and Heidi Mason (Physiotherapist and RYT 200) directly, this personal interaction allows for group discussions and shared experiences allowing every trainee the support and knowledge needed to teach prenatal yoga with confidence and ease.

Our Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training program is taught over 4 weeks with 15 hours of LIVE teaching and instruction and 10 hours of assignments completed through the manual and workbook provided.  Connecting online through our private meeting centre, each trainee meets once a week to attend the LIVE webinar for a specific training and interactive discussions, and throughout the week completes a number of assignements, interviews, reading and pracitucm classes.  Mamata Yoga strongly believes in the mentorship of our trainees so guidance is constant, whether the support be from our interactive classroom where questions are posted and answered or through our 2 hour private sessions offered throughout the program.

To maintain the quality and integrity of our program we only accept 15 trainees per program.  To ensure an abundance of instruction, we advise attending all 5 LIVE webinars throughout the program.  Although we've chosen a time frame that is suitable for most time changes, these sessions are also recorded but each session is never repeated!   The commitment per week is approximately 7 hours including the attendance of the LIVE webinars.  Please contact info@mamatayoga.com with any questions regarding your interest in joining our online training.

Online Postnatal YTT – 25 hrs

Postnatal Yoga or Mom & Baby Yoga classes are THE most challenging classes to teach!  I've often said that a postnatal yoga instructor is part teacher, part baby wrangler, part baby whisperer and part goddess!  You never know what will happen or what to expect, except for a whole lot of cuteness!  These classes are incredibly rewarding as you share in the journey of growth and development with each baby and each mother.

Skill and undestanding of babies development as well as the healing process for mom's is the key in teaching postnatal yoga.  Understanding the hormonal changes, the recovery for new mothers, the emotional well-being and to offer support and kindness are some of the main focuses on teaching a successful postnatal class.  The balance between offering mothers time for themselves and including babies in the yoga classes can be tricky, but with skill and lots of tools in your yoga belt, can be flow with much ease.

With this online postnatal yoga training, you will learn much about the recovering mother physical Self whether they had a vaginal or cesarian birth and how to interact with babies.  Understand the anatomical and physiological changes and how to appropriately teach poses with specific modifications while mothers heal and babies grow.
