About Mamata Yoga

The Sanskrit word Mamata means “mother’s love”  or “affection” in English, which is beautifully symbolic of all our teacher training programs as we build a community of love and support.

The intention behind our courses is to unite and create a dynamic group of professional yoga teachers, mothers, nurses, doulas and midwives who are passionate about creating a mindful connection between mother and baby during the process of pregnancy as well as labour and delivery.

Pre-natal yoga classes are currently among the most popular specified classes offered at studios or privately. Expectant mothers are seeking out qualified yoga instructors to ensure safe and effective yoga asana to sooth physical and emotional changes as well, specialized techniques such as pranayama and meditation for a more focused and calming birthing experience.

When I register for Mamata Yoga prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher training I didn't realize I would be starting on a magical journey full of wonder, exploration, femininity and community. Clare’s warm, friendly and funny personality draws you in during this intense teacher training you can’t help but be inspired by her passion and knowledge about yoga, meditation, pregnancy and Ayurveda. Upon completion I felt very confident teaching yoga to pregnant women in a safe and inclusive way. I highly recommend Mamata Yoga teacher training!

My experience with Mamata Yoga’s Prenatal Online Yoga Teacher Training program was fantastic. This is a unique program that covers more ground than any other program I’ve seen or taken part in. I continue to reference the manual and materials, recalling great bits of information that enhance my Prenatal Yoga classes every week. The webinars were extremely informative and professionally delivered by a top-notch, educated team. I looked forward to the sessions each week, and felt supported and heard whenever I had questions. Clare has done an amazing job with developing these trainings and is a leader in the Prenatal YTT community, in my humble opinion. I look forward to doing more webinars with Mamata Yoga in the future.

I was a free spirit. Someone who would sometimes drop everything at any given moment to take in a yoga class or a long run in the fresh air. I was selfish. I put only the best things into my body.I would walk to the farmers market, pick up some…
